This Petition is filed to quash the First Information Report, registered against the petitioner in Cr.No.657 of 2014, on the file of the first respondent/Police, for offence under Section 294(b) and 506(i) IPC, based on the complaint given by the second respondent herein.

Now, it is represented that the parties, viz., the petitioner and the second respondent/de facto complainant have settled the differences and as on date, no chargesheet has been filed against the petitioner. A joint memo of compromise has been filed by the petitioner as well as the second respondent/de facto complainant and the second respondent has also filed an affidavit to that effect, and she is also present and on enquiry, she also admitted that she has settled the matter with the petitioner and she does not want to proceed with the case further. 3.

Recording the aforesaid joint memo of compromise, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed, the First Information Report, registered against the petitioner in Cr.No.657 of 2014, stands quashed.
