.. Respondent Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 3.6.2015, to pay the grad pay arrears from 1.1.1996 to 30.6.2000.

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner would state that he was appointed as a Secondary Grade Teacher on 20.9.1967, in the Thiruvalluvar Aided Elementary School at Pudupet, and his scale of pay was fixed at Rs.90-40-110-3-140 and he was conferred with the Selection Grade on 20.9.1983, in the scale of pay of Rs.1400-50-2300-60-2600 and the Special Grade on 20.9.1993, in the scale of pay of Rs.5900200-9900 and retired from service on 30.6.2000. 3.It is further stated by the petitioner that the Ministry of Personnel, PG and Pensions, Government of India, has issued an Office Memorandum dated 28.1.2013, to count the Grade Pay for pension purpose and the various State Governments had also implemented the same, whereas the Government of Tamil Nadu has failed to give effect to the same and as a consequence, the persons like the petitioner, are losing a sum ranging between Rs.800/- and Rs.1400/- per month and in this regard, the petitioner has also submitted a representation dated 3.6.2015, to the respondent and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition.

4.Heard the submissions of the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate, who accepted notice on behalf of the respondent.
5.This Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, permits the petitioner to submit one more representation to the respondent giving the details of his employment and pay particulars and the relief he prays for, by enclosing a copy of this order as well as a copy of his earlier representation dated 3.6.2015, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the respondent, on receipt of the same, is directed to consider it in accordance with law and pass orders thereon within a period of ten weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
