This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's appeal dated 11.04.2018, filed by the petitioner challenging the order of the third respondent dated 19.03.2018, with regard to rejection of his prayer challenging the fixation of seniority.
2. Mrs.R.Janaki, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the time of admission itself.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he has made a statutory appeal on 11.04.2018, before the first respondent challenging the order of the third respondent dated 19.03.2018, rejecting the claim of the petitioner regarding fixation of seniority. Since, no orders has been passed on the said appeal till date, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.
5. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by seeking for a counter affidavit from the respondent.
6. In view of the same and after hearing the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's appeal dated 11.04.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the persons concerned, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
