ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider and pass order on the petitioner's representation dated 11.02.2019 seeking for Provident Fund benefit amounting to Rs.96,413/- for the period from 1976 to 1991.
2.It is the case of the petitioner that on 20.09.1976, the petitioner was appointed as Secretary in the 3rd respondent Society through Employment Exchange. Thereafter, on 13.04.1991, he was transferred to the office of Tirupachur Primary Agricultural Co-operative Society as Secretary. On 31.05.2014, he retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation. 3.While the petitioner was working as Secretary from 20.09.1976 to 16.03.1991, the respondent has failed to pay Provident Fund for 14 years amounting to Rs.96,413/- which is remitted in E.P.F. Account No.297 maintained by the Kanchipuram Central Co-operative Bank Limited, Tiruttani Branch. On 11.02.2019, the petitioner had on various occasions approached the respondents, but is of no use. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation requesting his P.F. amount of Rs.96,413/- with interest to the respondents. Thereafter, on 12.04.2019, the petitioner had submitted his reminder to consider the representation, but the same was not done. Hence, this petition has been filed.
4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice to issue directions to the 3rd respondent to dispose of the representation in accordance with law. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to dispose of the representation dated 11.02.2019, if not disposed already within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
