Respondents Prayer : - Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent herein to comply the 1st respondent order dated 01.07.2021 made in O.M.No.1528/2021/A3 and take appropriate steps to issuance of patta in favour of the petitioner bearing 124 totally admeasure 70 cents of agricultural land which is situated in Thenakudipalayam Village, Attur Taluk, Salem District, belongs to the petitioner. ORDER

(1) Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

(2) The writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent/Tahsildar, Athur Taluk, which according to the learned counsel for the petitioner, has been wrongly given in the writ petition, but actually, it is the Tahsildar, Gengavalli Taluk, Salem District, to comply with the order of the 1st respondent dated 01.07.2021 made in O.M.No.1528/2021/A3.

(3) The petitioner had given a representation to the 1st respondent on 27.04.2020 and a further representation on 27.04.2021. Taking note of the said representation, the 1st respondent had forwarded the same to the Tahsildar, Genagavalli Taluk, calling upon the said official to examine the said representation and take necessary action in accordance with the Rules.

(4) The same direction is also issued to the Tahsildar, Gengavalli, who though is not a party to the writ petition, to comply with the directions of the 1st respondent dated 01.07.2021, take necessary action on the

representation made on 27.04.2021, issue notice to the petitioner herein, examine him and thereafter pass necessary orders in accordance with the Rules, granting or denying grant of patta. The said exercise should be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (5) The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly.
