(Order of the Court was made by Mr.T.S.Sivagnanam, J.) Mr.Kandhan Duraisami, learned counsel for the petitioner, after some arguments, seeks to withdraw the writ petition, as the petitioners are not keen in challenging the impugned regulations, but their endeavour is to bring it to the notice of the University Grants Commission the ground realities and in what manner their chances of securing a guide to pursue their M.Phil course would be affected. Therefore, the learned counsel submits that the petitioners may be permitted to withdraw the writ petition and submit representations now or pursue their representations submitted earlier. The learned counsel has also made an endorsement to that effect.
2.In the light of the same, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty to the petitioners to pursue their representations before the University Grants Commission in accordance with law.
