ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the charge sheet in C.C. No. 5054 of 2021 on the file of XI Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai.
2. Heard both sides.
3. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing, both learned counsel for petitioner, learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) for 1st respondent and learned counsel for 2nd respondent appeared and submitted that before the mediation, the matter was settled and to that effect, a joint memo of compromise was produced before this court.
4. On perusal of joint memo of compromise, it reveals that there was a settlement arrived between the parties and the 2nd respondent/defacto complainant is not inclined to proceed with the trial Page No.2 of 4
in C.C.No. 5054 of 2021, which was pending on the file of XI Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai and the joint memo of compromise filed by them is recorded. So, on considering the joint memo of compromise, this court is inclined to quash the proceedings initiated against the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of in terms of compromise and the proceedings initiated by the 1st respondent in C.C.No.5054 of 2021 before the XI Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai is quashed. The memo of compromise shall form part and parcel of this order. Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
