Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code praying to direct the second respondent to register an FIR against the persons mentioned in the petitioner's complaint dated 30.10.2014.

It is submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, representing the respondent-Police that, as per the complaint given by the petitioner, the dispute is between the father-inlaw/petitioner and his son-in-law, who is a practising Advocate. The son-in-law alleged to have assaulted the petitioner with iron chair, and he also attacked one Suresh, who is the son of the petitioner's brother. As the dispute appears to be family dispute, no crime has been registered and the matter is being enquired into. 2.

Recording the above submission, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, by directing the respondent/Police to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

conduct enquiry and on enquiry, if it is found that cognizable offence is made out, then the respondent/Police shall register a case and proceed further in accordance with law by following the principles laid down by the Hon'ble Apex Court in re Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others, reported in [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)].
