The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking for a direction, directing the respondents to register the FIR based on the petitioner's complaint dated 07.12.2015.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a complaint to the respondents as early as on 07.12.2015, but, however, the respondents police had not taken any steps to register a case and hence, the petitioner has come forward with this petition for the above stated relief.

3. Resisting the same, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Salem has forwarded the petitioner's complaint to the Commissioner of Police, Salem. But, the third respondent has not received any compliant. Further more, he stated that the third respondent is not a jurisdictional police station and the Inspector of Police, Suramangalam Police Station is a competent person to enquire the matter and register a case.

4. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, liberty is given to the petitioner, to approach the jurisdictional police station.
