Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to make payment of the said outstanding sum of Rs.2,65,486/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Sixty five thousands four hundred and eighty six only) with interest at the rate of 24% per annum for the period from 2018 the date of due of the sum till the date of actual payment, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. Mr.Srinivas, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for 3rd respondent.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he was engaged to do improvement work at various wards under the Tamil Nadu Roads
infrastructure Programme. According to the petitioner, the payment is pending from the year 2017 onwards. The petitioner has made several representations to the third respondent and since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking appropriate directions.
3. Heard Mr.P.Anbarasan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2 and Mr.Srinivas, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the 3rd respondent.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 09.09.2020 and take a decision strictly in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the third respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.
5. This Writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
