O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to cancel the Registration Certificate issued in favour of the third respondent for the Vehicle TATA 407 Van, bearing Registration No.TN-03-A-6387.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and the learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 and 2.

Though the third respondent has been served, and his name is printed in the causelist, none appears for him. 3.

The learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the third respondent, in turn, has sold the Vehicle to some other person, who is not party in this Writ Petition.

Be that as it may, the petitioner, having filed a representation before the second respondent, it would be appropriate for the second respondent to inform the exact state of affairs so that the petitioner can work out his remedy in the manner known to law.

In the light of the above, the second respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation submitted through his counsel and communicate the same to the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is diSposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
