Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus directing 2nd and 3rd respondents to grant street vendor licence to the petitioner's Food sale business at 32nd street Besant Nagar, Chennai Corporation Ward No.174 (Zone - 13) Chennai - 600 090, based on petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2023 under protection of Livelihood and regulation of street Vending Act, 2014, within specific time frame.

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to respondents 2 and 3 for grant of street vendor licence by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 25.4.2023.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader accepted 2/4
notice for respondents 1 and 4 and Mr.E.C.Ramesh, learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice for respondents 2 and 3 submits that the second respondent will pass orders on the representation of the petitioner within a period of three weeks.
3. Considering the submission of the learned Standing Counsel, a direction is issued to the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 25.04.2023 within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law. In the meanwhile, pending consideration of the application, the respondents are restrained from interfering with petitioner's activities.
The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. There shall be no order as to costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 26.05.2023 gpa/ms 3/4
