ORDER
The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Section 4(1)(A) of TNP Act, 2024, in Crime No.78 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner has transported 520 bottles of foreign (Korean) liquor, without a valid license. Hence the case.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he seeks anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner, being the owner of the hotel, was found in possession of 520 bottles of imported Korean liquor recovered from the premises. He further submitted that the petitioner's involvement was disclosed through the confession statement of an employee. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.
Considering the submissions of the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) and noting that the seized liquor is of Korean origin, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
