PRAYER:

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation dated 25.02.2017 of the petitioner, so as to make necessary entry in the records maintained at their office regarding the petitioner's property, comprised in Survey No.364/2, situated at No.76, Sayanavaram Village, Amoor Revenue Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District as patta land.

Mr.K.J.Sivakumar, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the first respondent to consider his representation dated 25.02.2017, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

wherein and whereby he sought for correction of certain entries made in the records of the Registration Department, in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.364/2, situated at No. at No.76, Sayanavaram Village, Amoor Revenue Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District, by claiming that it is a patta land and that the same was entered in the records of the Registration Department wrongly as Government land.

3. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the first respondent to consider and decide, by considering the representation dated 25.02.2017.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the first respondent to consider the said representation of the petitioner and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
