ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents 2 to 4, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.05.2024, seeking employment to the post of Police Constable. 2.

The petitioner had applied for the post of Police Constable as per the notification issued in the year 2013-2014. However, his candidature itself rejected on the ground that the petitioner had involved in a criminal case in Crime No.1061 of 2010 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 323, 506(i) of IPC and the same was suppressed by the petitioner. However, the criminal case ended in acquittal in C.C.No.22 of 2010 on the file of the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Arcot, Ranipet District, by the judgment dated 17.04.2014. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted representation on 18.05.2023, seeking appointment to the post of Constable. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner approached this Court by way of this writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and

perused the material placed before this Court. 4.

It is seen that after the period of ten years from the date of the judgment dated 17.04.2014, the petitioner submitted representation on 18.05.2023. Even before the acquittal when the trial was pending, the petitioner applied for the post of Constable by suppressing the said fact. Therefore, on the ground of suppression of material the candidature of the petitioner had been rejected by the respondents. Therefore, the representation submitted by the petitioner that too after the period of ten years cannot be considered for the post of Police Constable and the writ petition itself devoid of merits and liable to be dismissed. 5.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no orders as to costs.
