ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 08.04.2025 and 15.04.2025 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Upon hearing, Mr.K.G.Senthil Kumar, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Rajesh Vivekanandhan, the learned Deputy Solicitor General of India appearing for the first respondent and in view of the innocuous relief that is prayed for in this writ petition, the same is disposed of at the admission stage without notice to the second respondent.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he is an accused in Crime No. 1/AC/2023/CC-1 dated 09.06.2023. In order to defend himself in the said case, the petitioner seeks that the Call Detail Record (CDR) particulars, as mentioned in his representation, be preserved so as to enable the petitioner to summon the same in his defense.

4. The learned Deputy Solicitor General of India, appearing for the first respondent, submitted that the representation will be considered and 2/4

appropriate action will be taken, provided the data is available. He further submitted that some of the data mentioned in the representation is beyond the period of two years.

5. In view thereof, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representations dated 08.04.2025 and 15.04.2025 and take appropriate action to preserve the relevant call details that are available. The same shall be recorded and stored in CDR form and made available to the petitioner upon request or to the investigating agency, as the case may be, through the appropriate Court.
