Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for writ of Mandamus, Directing the respondent to issue separate and individual patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of the property bearing New S.No.16/8 = old S.No.16/1,2,3 Hec.0.73.0 in Boodampadi Village, Kurinjipadi Taluk, Cuddalore District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.06.2021.

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus seeking examination of the representation of the petitioner dated 07.06.2021.

It is the claim of the petitioner that the lands bearing new survey no.16/8, old survey nos. 16/1,2,3, measuring 0.7350 hectares in the Othambai Village, Kurinjipadi Taluk, Cuddalore District, originally stood in the names of his mother Visalatchi, himself/Adimoolam and another person namely Arumugam.

Quite unfortunately the petitioner's mother Visalatchi died. The petitioner claims that quite apart from him, there are no other legal heirs. The petitioner's father had predeceased. He has no sisters or brothers. He had also, purchased a portion of the land to which Arumugam was entitled by a sale deed dated 22.11.1994 and a copy of the same had also been produced before this Court. He had sent a representation dated 07.06.2021 seeking patta in his name alone and to delete the names of his mother Visalatchi and also Arugmugam. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Aggrieved by the fact that respondent/Tahsildar, Kurinjipadi Taluk, Cuddalore District had not taken effective steps, the present writ petiton has been filed.

3. Heard Mr.D.Baskar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

A Mandamus is issued directing the Tahsildar, Kurinjipadi Taluk, Cuddalore District to issue a notice to the petitioner herein and examine the records pertaining to the said lands and thereafter satisfy himself and pass considered orders on the basis of the representation dated 07.06.2021. The Tahsildar, Kurinjipadi Taluk, Cuddalore District is placed under an obligation to complete the said exercise within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, the present writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
