ORDER
The present criminal original petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to register the case on the petitioner's complaint dated 18.10.2015.
2. The petitioner herein lodged a complaint as against one Raja, who is the village Administrative Officer and his wife alleging that on 18.10.2015, the petitioner and his uncle Samanthakumar went to their agricultural land to remove the pieces of woods from the tree, which was destroyed by the said Raja. At that time, the said Raja and his wife came to the petitioner's agricultural land with deadly weapons and abused the petitioner in filthy language and assaulted the petitioner with wooden log and also threatened the petitioner with dire consequences. petitioner has lodged a complaint on 18.10.2015. But, till date, no action has been taken on the said complaint. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.
3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that on receipt of the complaint , C.S.R.No.225 of 2015 has been assiged and a detailed enquiry was conducted on the said complaint, and the same was closed. He has also produced a copy of the closure report.
4. Since the complaint given by the petitioner was closed, nothing survives in this petition. Therefore, the petition is dismissed, however, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy in the manner known to law, if he so desires.
