Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2.

It is submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent/Police that, as per the application filed by the petitioner, she has given complaint only to the Collector, and the complaint, dated 12.12.2014 was not received. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, therefore, submitted that the petitioner may be directed to give fresh complaint to the respondent herein, viz., the Inspector of Police, Thiruthuraipoondi Police Station, Thiruthuraipoondi, Thiruvarur District, and on receipt of the complaint, the respondent/Police will do needful in respect of the case.

Recording the above submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, by directing the petitioner to give fresh complaint to the respondent herein. On receipt of the complaint, the respondent/Police is directed to register the case by following the dictum laid down by the Hon'ble Apex Court in re Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others reported in [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)] .
