Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the patta application No.2021/0105/02/264065 dated 22.02.2021 in respect to 1250 sq.ft in Survey No.370/4A2 in S.Kulathur Village, Shollinganallur Taluk and issue patta.

ORDER

The petitioner is the owner of the property measuring to an extent of 1250 sq.ft in S.No.370/4A2 in S.Kulathur Village, Sollinganallur Taluk. The petitioner claims that the said property was purchased by a Sale Deed dated 16.07.2003 registered as Document No.2458/2003. She had also constructed a house and she has been paying property tax and obtained electricity connection. She further claims that the vendor Suraiya Begum had patta in her name for the said property. The petitioner appeared to have applied for patta nearly about three years back on 20.06.2018. In view of the fact that there is no response from the respondents, the petitioner was forced to file further application on 22.04.2021. filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondent to examine the said representation. 2.A mandamus is issued accordingly, to the respondents to examine the representation of the petitioner, issue notice to the petitioner, examine the revenue records and take on record any other representation given by the petitioner in writing and thereafter, if the papers are in order proceed to comply with the requirements of the petitioner as stated in the representation. At any rate, the entire exercise should be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.With the above observations, the Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
