... Respondents/ Respondents This case is taken up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. Mrs. R.Sree Vidhya, learned counsel for the appellant/Insurance Company and Ms.S.Nazira Banu, learned counsel representing Ms.Ramya V.Rao, the learned counsel for the 1st respondent/claimant are present. There is no representation for the 2nd respondent. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.19,56,480/-, along with interest at 7.5% per annum, from the date of petition till the date of deposit. Aggrieved by the award of the Tribunal, the appellant/ Insurance Company had preferred the present appeal.

2. The 1st respondent/claimant and the learned counsel representing the appellant/Insurance Company are present before the Lok Adalat. The Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.19,56,480/- (Rupees Nineteen Lakhs Fifty Six Thousand Four Hundred and Eighty only) together with interest at the rate of 7.5% p.a. from the date of petition till the date of deposit. Parties have agreed to settle the entire dispute of Rs.29,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Nine Lakhs only) in full quit.

3. Accordingly, this Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed with a direction to the appellant to deposit a sum of Rs.29,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Nine Lakhs only), less the amount already deposited, before the Additional Sub Court, Chengalpattu, to the credit of MCOP No.68 of 2015, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 4.The Tribunal is directed to transfer the above said award amount to the Bank account of the appellant/ claimant by way of NEFT / RTGS, on proper identification, in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition.
