ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to issue patta in her favour in respect of lands comprised in S.No.170/4 to a total extent of 1 acre 96 cents of lands situated at Thenchetiyanthal Village, Chinna Salem Taluk, Kallakurichi District by disposing of the petitioner's representation dated 22.03.2025 within such time to be stipulated by this Court. 3.It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that the petitioner has submitted a representation on 22.03.2025 seeking issuance of patta in her favour. However, the same has not been considered by the 2/6

2nd respondent. Aggrieved by the same, petitioner has come before this Court.

4.At the outset, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents would submit that the petitioner may have to submit an online application for issuance of patta. He would further submit that if any online application is taken out in the appropriate manner/prescribed format and after paying appropriate fees, the same would be considered and orders would be passed in accordance with law within the time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

5.In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to submit an online application for issuance of patta in appropriate manner in a prescribed format and on payment of appropriate fees. If any such application is filed by the petitioner, the concerned respondent shall consider and dispose of the same in accordance after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of filing of such application by the petitioner. It is made clear that this Court has 3/6

not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the matter and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the application on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs. 05.06.2025 Index : Yes/ No Speaking (or) Non Speaking Order pam 4/6
