ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 16.04.2025 seeking police protection to conduct Chithirai festival rally involving the procession of the idol of Arulmigu Mangammal Mahalakshmi temple.

2.

Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and

perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.

It is seen that there is a dispute in respect of the right over the Arulmigu Mangammal Mahalakshmi temple and there are suits also pending between the parties in O.S.No.521 of 1999 on the file of the District Munsif Court, Bhavani and O.S.No.347 of 2019 on the file of the District Munsif Court, Anthiyur. That apart, the right cannot be decided by this Court to allow the petitioner to conduct Chithirai festival rally including the procession of the idol of Arulmigu Mangammal Mahalakshmi from Kathrimalai to Erode. Therefore, the representation submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered and the writ petition itself is devoid of merits and liable to be dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the civil Court, if so advised. 4.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
