The petitioner, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 294B and 506(ii) of IPC, r/w Sec.66 of Information Technology Act, 2000 in Crime No. Not known of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the petition enquiry is pending against the petitioner in C.S.R. No.279 of 2023 on the file of respondent police.
3. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), the respondent Police is directed to complete the enquiry, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and if any prima facie case is made out against the
petitioner, the respondent police shall register the First Information Report or close the petition enquiry. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
