By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2.The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as cleaner in the respondent Department on 02.04.1973 and retired from service on 31.05.2014, on attaining the age of superannuation as roller driver. According to the petitioner, he is entitled for the benefits under G.O.Ms.No.237, Finance [PC] Department, dated 22.07.2013. Since the benefits were not extended, the petitioner made representations to the respondent dated 01.08.2014 and 07.10.2015. But, no order has been passed, hence the present Writ Petition has been filed. 3.Heard the submissions of Mr.G.Punniyakotti, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.L.Mahendran, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4.This Court, taking into consideration the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 01.08.2014 and 07.10.2015 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. 5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
