Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 14.07.2021 in D.O.No.51/2021-C2 the Petitioner/Detenu Chandru, Male aged 22 years, S/o.Rajini, who is confined at Central Prison, Vellore and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before the Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The detenu himself is the petitioner herein and he challenges the impugned order of detention in D.O.No.51/2021-C2, dated 14.07.2021, detaining him as "GOONDA" under Section 3(1) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.3983, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 31.08.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
