Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation dated 16.1.2020 made by the petitioner and the representation dated 15.1.2021 made by the third respondent herein and provide stoppage for the train Numbers 12607- UP, 12608-DN (Lal Bagh Express), 16001 - UP, 16002 - DN (Palani Express) and 12601-UP, 12602 - DN (Mangalore Mail) at Vaniyambadi Railway station. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner seeks a direction on the railway authorities to provide stoppage for certain trains at a particular station.

2. It would be completely improper on the part of the court to usurp the authority of the experts in the field and issue an order of the nature that is sought by the petitioner. Several considerations go into deciding whether a halt at a particular place should be provided or not.

3. The petitioner is left free to make a request to the General Manager of Southern Railway in line with the prayer made in the present petition. However, even if the request is declined, the decision may not be justiciable. W.P.No.17681 of 2021 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
