ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN, J.] By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

Mr.R.Udhayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

2. The petitioner claims to a resident of Door No.5/301-A, Kunjarampalayam, Vellerivelli Village & post, Edapaddi Taluk, Salem Distrct and according to him, there are very many residential premises located and not even the basic facility of drainage has been provided and as a consequence, sewage/drainage water is freely going on the street, which in turn leads to communicable diseases. The petitioner in this regard submitted a representation to the first respondent, who in turn, requested the President of the Vellerivelli Panchayat Union vide communication dated 13.11.2014 in Na.Ka.No.1868/2014/ thi3, to do the needful and inform the petitioner as well as to their office and despite such communication, no action has been taken to abate to the said nuisance and therefore, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Udhayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf the respondents.

4. This Court taking into consideration the above facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the fourth respondent to cause inspection of the area in question, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and depending upon the result of the same shall take appropriate action at the earliest and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
