ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition is filed, to direct the learned XVI Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.8160 of 2019 pending on his file, within the time to be stipulated by this Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the suit was originally filed before this Court in C.S.No.519 of 2012, seeking the relief of declaration and permanent injunction. Later, on the ground of pecuniary jurisdiction, the suit in C.S.No.519 of 2012 was transferred to the City Civil Court, Chennai and pending before the XVI Additional City Civil Court, Chennai. Though the suit was filed in the year 2012, till now, even the examination of plaintiff has not been commenced and a direction to the learned XVI Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, may be given to dispose of the suit at the earliest.

3.It is seen from the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the suit is of the year 2012 and from the inception of the suit, till now, not even a single witness had been examined in this case. Therefore, this Court directs the learned XVI Additional Judge, City Civil 2/4

Court, Chennai, to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.8160 of 2019 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
