Read this order in continuation of and in conjunction with order dated 15.07.2024 reading thus:- 1/4
"Read this order in continuation of and in conjunction with earlier orders dated 26.06.2024, 04.07.2024 & 08.07.2024.

Mr.Kumaresan, learned Additional Advocate General circulates a status report to the effect that while the officials are ready and willing to proceed with the matter, it is on account of the objections raised by a private party, that they have been unable to do the needful. According to them, a pole has to be erected on a path belonging to a private party as that is the point which is the closest to the source of power.
3. Objections have been raised by the private party.
4. Bearing in mind the statutory responsibility cast upon the authorities to provide power within seven working days from date of filing of an application, the authorities have filed a police complaint before the Puthusathiram Police Station on 12.07.2024. Thus, the Inspector of Police, Puthusathiram Police Station, Cuddalore District, is suo motu impleaded as R4 and Mr.Vadivelu Deenadayalan, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice.
5. There is a direction to R1 to R3 to do the needful to effect electricity supply in accordance with law taking assistance of R4, if necessary, prior to the next date of hearing. Let the estimate of charges be supplied to the petitioner forthwith to enable him to make payment.
6. List under the caption 'to report compliance' on 23.07.2024."
2. Today, Mr.S.Vijay, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that electricity connection has been given. Since the object of the writ petition stands achieved, recording the same, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
