In all petitions Mrs. Pavithra Standing Counsel R1 & R2 Order These writ petitions are filed for the following relief: "To direct respondents herein to revise and re-fix the Grade pay of Assistant Engineer from Rs.4600/- to Rs.5100/- with effect from 17.06.2009 and to give monetary benefits, to the petitioner with effect from Jan-2024 monthly
salary onwards as ordered by this Court order in W.P. No.2000 / 2020 dated 02.06.2023 from the date of promotion and pay the consequential benefits to the petitioner by considering the their representations in light of the orders passed by this Court in W.P. No.2000 of 2020 dated 02.06.2023."
2. The petitioners were appointed in the respondent corporation and retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation between the years 2018 and 2023 as Assistant Engineer.
3. The petitioners would submit that the respondents had fixed the scale of pay by adopting minutes of 232nd board meeting held on 03.01.2023, revising and re-fixing the grade of pay of Assistant Engineer from Rs.4600/- to Rs.5100/- with effect from 17.06.2009, as ordered by this Court in WP.No.2000 of 2020 dated 02.06.2023.
4. The petitioners would submit that they have sent representations seeking to settle the increased scale of pay and retirement benefits. However, the same has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioners are
before this Court.
5. The learned Standing Counsel on instruction would submit that the respondents would consider the petitioners' representation and orders will be passed in the light of the judgement made in WP.No.2000 of 2020.
6. Considering the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel, a direction is issued to respondents to consider the petitioners' representation and pass orders in the light of the judgement passed in WP.No.2000 of 2020, within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
