Respondents Prayer: This Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the claim of the 2nd petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground on the death of the deceased late K.Raja, Head Constable 312 of Vaimedu Police Station, Nagapattinam District who died on 27.05.2020, within a reasonable time.

(The case has been heard through video conference) By consent of the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal and is disposed of by means of this order.
2. Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
3. The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking a Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the claim of the 2nd petitioner for appointment on compassionate https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
ground on the death of the deceased late K.Raja, Head Constable 312 of Vaimedu Police Station, Nagapattinam District who died on 27.05.2020, within a reasonable time.
4. This Court heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing on either side.

This Court considering the limited prayer sought for in this Writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, direct the second respondent to dispose of the communication of the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.F1/5576/2020, dated 04.03.2021, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner herein.
6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
