ORDER

The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to confer promotion to the petitioner to the post of Forester by including his name either in the panel drawn for the year 2010-11 or 2013-14 by considering his representation dated 03.07.2017 with all consequential service and monetary benefits.

2. When the matter was taken up, the learned counsel https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

for the petitioner restricted his claim only for inclusion of his name in the panel for the year 2013-14 and sought for a direction to the first respondent to consider his case.

3. Mr.M.Santhanaraman, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. Considering the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, since the petitioner's service was regularized in the post of Junior Assistant retrospectively with effect from 19.7.2000, the first respondent is hereby directed to consider the pending representation of the petitioner on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
