The petition has been filed seeking Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to change the category of the petitioner's son from "UR'' (unreserved) to "OBC" in application No.80003915, dated 26.06.2017 and to issue a certificate according to the eligible category.
2.According to the petitioner, she belongs to Hindu Yadava Community, which is classified as Backward Class Community by the Government of Tamilnadu. The petitioner's son , after finishing +2 Examination successfully, applied for NEET Examination and in the said application, by mistake, he had mentioned his community as "UR'' instead of "OBC". After realizing the mistake, the petitioner made representation on 26.06.2017 to rectify the mistake by e-mail.
3.The petitioner's son secured 124 marks out of 720 marks and has got every chance of getting Medical course under BC category. At the time of making application, no document evidencing the communal status is required to be produced and later only, it is directed to be produced. Therefore, seeking aWrit of Mandamus to the respondents to change the category from "UR" to "OBC", the petitioner has approached this Court. 4.When the matter is called today, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's son's communal status has already been changed as "OBC" instead of "UR" by the respondent concerned and consequently, the petitioner was able to get admission in Chettinadu Medical University, Chennai. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this regard, he has also made an endorsement in the Court Bundle. In view of the representation and endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, no further order is necessary.
