Crl.O.P.No.12097 of 2023 Crl.O.P.No.12097 of 2023 A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J., The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Section 294(b), 324, 506(ii) of IPC in Crime No.58 of 2023, on the file of the respondent, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that on the date of occurrence, the petitioner along with other accused abused the victim with filthy language and assaulted him with knife, due to which he sustained injuries. Hence, the case. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police raised objection stating that the petitioner is having five previous case and if the petitioner is released on anticipatory bail he may try to tamper the witnesses and hamper investigation. 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.

gbi 5.The submissions made by the learned Counsel on either sides are considered.

6. Considering the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner, the bad antecedent and the stage of investigation, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
