ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 17.02.2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(C) r/w 22(C), 25, Page No.1 of 4

29(1) of NDPS Act 1985 in Crime No.106 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that from the petitioner there has been no recovery of any contraband. The petitioner has been in prison from the date of arrest, i.e., on 17.02.2025. The investigation is yet to be completed and hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police while opposing the grant of bail to the petitioner submits that the petitioner/A2 along with A1 and A3, had gone to Bangalore by auto, and there they had purchased 55 grams of Methamphetamine, and all three were travelling from Bangalore to Chennai at that time they were intercepted, and 55 grams of Methamphetamine seized from the auto. The petitioner and the other two accused all the occupants of the auto and were unable to give any proper explanation. Thereafter, they were arrested. The investigation and all the statutory provisions have been followed. The investigation is completed, and now the charge sheet was filed on Page No.2 of 4

22.05.2025.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, submissions made by the learned counsels on either side, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
