ORDER
By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse order is passed against the private respondents, notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.
2. This writ petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondents to consider representation dated 11.08.2025 and dispose the same.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is a senior citizen aged about 74 years, out of love and affection, he had executed settlement deed in favour of his children/private respondent vide Doc.No.6656 of 2011. Since, their children neglected and abandoned the petitioner, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation on 11.08.2025 under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 including cancellation of the settlement deed, which is pending without consideration till date. Hence, this writ petition.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Counsel and perused the materials placed on record.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court without going into the merits of the case directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
