Respondents Prayer: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and provide police protection to conduct the Thondainattu Marriamman Festival at Keelputhur Village, Vandavasi Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District from 25.07.2017 to 27.07.2017.

The limited prayer sought for by the petitioner is to direct the respondent to grant permission and for police protection to conduct the Thondainattu Marriamman Festival at Keelputhur Village, Vandavasi Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District from 25.07.2017 to 27.07.2017. In this connection, the petitioner has also given a representation to the 5th respondent herein on 12.07.2017.

2. In view of the limited prayer sought for, there shall be a direction to the 5th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 12.07.2017, on its own merits and pass orders in accordance with law, immediately.

3. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
