The request of the petitioner for grant of Educational loan for pursuing Medicine in Kazakhastan has been rejected on the ground that the said country is listed as restricted country in the list of Banks extant loan policy.
2. A mandamus cannot be issued directing the petitioner to grant loan against its declared policy.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the Canara Bank has granted educational loan for a similarly placed person. 2/4
4. Leaving it open to the petitioner to approach the Canara Bank seeking educational loan, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
