Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India petitioner prayed that this Court to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 herein to dispose of his application for educational loan pending on the file of the 2nd respondent herein as expeditiously as possible within a reasonable time.

O R D E R

The relief sought in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to dispose of his application for educational loan, pending on the file of the 2nd respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that he has sent loan application, for grant of educational loan, to the 1st respondent District Collector, who in turn had forwarded the same to the 2nd respondent. However, the application has not been processed and so far, the loan as applied has not been sanctioned.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 made a submission that no such application has been received by the Branch Manager, State Bank of India so far, in respect of the writ petitioner. In the event of receipt of any such loan application, the same will be considered in accordance with the Rules in force.

4. Under these circumstances, the writ petitioner is directed to submit a fresh application directly to the 2nd respondent within a period of one week from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and on receipt of such loan application from the writ petitioner, the respondents 2 and 3 are directed to consider the same on merits and by following the Rules and Regulations in respect of grant of educational loan within a period of four weeks thereafter.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observation. No Costs.
