Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for respondents 1 to 4. By consent of the learned counsel appearing for both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. As against the order passed by the fourth respondent, in cancelling the Sub-Division made earlier in favour of the petitioner, a further appeal was preferred to the third respondent, on 06.01.2012. As no order was passed on the said appeal, though pending from 06.01.2012, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3. It is seen that communications dated 29.08.2012 and 22.11.2012 were sent by the first respondent to the second and third respondents, to take appropriate action on the appeal filed by the petitioner.
4. Considering the above and taking into consideration the pendency of the appeal filed by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, a direction is hereby issued to the second and third respondents to pass appropriate orders on the pending appeal, dated 06.01.2012, filed by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other private respondents / third parties, if any.
