ORDER

Mr.ERA.Premnath, learned Government Advocate, took notice for the respondents 1 & 2.

2.This writ petition is directed against the impugned order dated 16.10.2017 issued by the Sub-Treasury Officer, Ambattur, Chennai, (2nd respondent herein), in and by which the petitioner was invited to come to their office to give explanation as to why a sum of Rs.22,91,101/- said to have excessively paid to him excessively should not be recovered. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.A reading of the impugned order dated 16.10.2017 shows that the petitioner has been invited to come to the office of the 2nd respondent to offer his explanation and thereupon, to make aforementioned payment. Therefore, the petitioner is hereby directed to treat the impugned order dated 16.10.2017 as mere notice and to give his explanation within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After receipt of the explanation from the petitioner, the 2nd respondent shall consider and pass appropriate orders thereafter to recover the aforementioned amount, if so advised. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs.
