Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents 2 and 3 to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2014 for the issuance of patta to the petitioner, as per the Will dated 14.12.1989 in S.Nos.76, 97/1, 99, 99/2B, 99/2C, 99/2D, 99/2F, 99/2G, 101/3A1, 101/3A2, 104/4A, 104/5, 104/5C, (totalling to an extent of 44 acres) in Nerkunapattu Village, Cheyyar Taluk, Kancheepuram District and to pass orders according to law within the time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

Mr.P.Sanjai Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for respondents. By consent of the learned counsel appearing for both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has made a representation dated 03.07.2014 to the respondents, based on the Will, said to have been executed by her mother-in-law, on 14.12.1989. Seeking to dispose of the said representation, in which the patta has been sought for, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for both sides.

4. Taking into consideration the pendency of the representation filed by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, a direction is hereby issued to the second and third respondents to pass appropriate orders on the pending representation, dated 03.07.2014, filed by the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, other legal heirs of the mother-in-law of the petitioner, who is said to have executed the Will and other third parties, if any.

5. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
