ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to quash the FIR in Crime No.188 of 2024 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Sathuvachery Police Station, Vellore District in so far as the petitioner is concerned.

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has been arrayed as an accused by the first respondent police in Crime No.188 of 2024 for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 324, 506(2) 307 of IPC and Section 3(1) of TNPPD Act based on the complaint lodged by the second respondent alleging that the petitioner along with other accused, abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and also attacked him with knife and iron rod due to which, the second respondent/defacto complainant sustained injuries. Pending investigation, the petitioner and the second respondent/defacto complainant entered into compromise and that the defacto complainant has no objection in quashing the FIR as against petitioner. is filed by the petitioner to quash the FIR based on the consent affidavit of second respondent/defacto complainant.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) and also perused the materials available on record.

It is seen that the offences under Section 307 IPC and Section 3(1) of TNPPD Act are involved in this case, which are grave in nature. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to quash the FIR based on the consent affidavit of the second respondent.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed at the admission stage itself. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
