PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to dispose within time frame the petitioner representation dated 11.06.2018 made to the first respondent herein seeking community certificate for the petitioner as he belonging to Hindu Schedule Tribe Kannikar Community.

(Order of the Court was delivered by N.KIRUBAKARAN, J) The matter has been heard through "Video Conference". 2.The Petitioner has come before this Court seeking Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents herein to dispose of the Petitioner's representation dated 11.06.2018 given to the First Respondent / District Collector, Cuddalore District seeking community certificate for the Petitioner stating that he belongs to Hindu Schedule Tribe 'Kanikkar' Community. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.Heard Mr.G.Magesh Kumar, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr.P.Balathandayutham, Learned Government Advocate appearing for the Respondents.

4.The claim of the Petitioner is that he belongs to Hindu Schedule Tribe 'Kanikkar' community. However, there is no documentary proof to show that the Petitioner belongs to the said community as the parents are not educated and they have not obtained any community certificate. In any event, necessary particulars including the details of the native district have to be given.

5.Therefore, this Court directs the Petitioner to give fresh representation to the First Respondent with necessary particulars along with concerned documents, if any available, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the First Respondent is directed to dispose of the said representation within a period of twelve weeks there of after giving the opportunity to the Petitioner.

6.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
