O R D E R
The petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking direction to the respondents to pass orders on the application of the petitioner dated 21.03.2018 as per proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 25.04.2018 and 3rd respondent dated 04.06.2018 and to provide suitable employment to the petitioner on compassionate ground.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's father Gopalakannan was working as Office Assistant in Kaveripuram, High School, Mettur Taluk, Salem District. On 18.07.2001, the petitioner's father died due to ill health. Thereafter the petitioner's mother preferred an application to the 4th respondent for seeking appointment under compassionate grounds, but the respondent did not pass any orders.
Thereafter the petitioner submitted his application on 21.03.2018 to the 1st, 2nd and 4th respondent. As on date the respondents did not pass any orders. Hence the present Writ Petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice to issue direction to the first respondent to pass orders on the application dated 21.03.2018 submitted by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law within a reasonable time.
4. Mrs. N. Annalakshmi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents conceded to the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
5. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case and considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the first respondent to pass orders on the application dated 21.03.2018 submitted by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve
(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
