Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation made by the petitioner dated 01.04.2015 instructing the respondents 2 and 3 to furnish the information sought for by the petitioner on 23.12.2014. Mr.A.Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for respondents 1 to 3. By consent of the learned counsel appearing for both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner has made a representation on 01.04.2015 to the first respondent, alleging that despite the time-limit fixed having been over, respondents 2 and 3 have not complied with the provisions of the Right To Information Act. As no further action is forthcoming, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for both sides.
4. This Court, taking into consideration the pendency of the representation filed by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the case, hereby directs the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation, dated 01.04.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
