O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to register a case on the complaint of the petitioner dated 14.7.2015 and to investigate the matter and to file a final report under section 173(2) of Cr.P.C.

2. The petitioner has lodged a complaint on 14.07.2015 as against her husband and in-laws stating that her mother in law is not allowing the petitioner to live with her husband. It is further alleged in the complaint that her mother in law along with her other in-laws have ill treated and harassed her. Since no action was taken by the respondent for the complaint lodged on 14.7.2015, the petitioner has filed the present criminal original petition.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor submitted that when the petition enquiry was pending, since the petitioner made a request in written that no further action was required, the action was dropped and recording the same, the complaint was closed. He has also produced a closure report to that effect before this Court.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, since the complaint has been closed, nothing survives in this criminal Original petition. Hence, the present criminal original petition is dismissed. The respondent police is directed to send a copy of the closure report to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
