ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to conduct survey of the petitioner's land comprised in S.Nos.160/1C and 161/5B, situated at Narthampoondi Village, Tiruvannamalai Taluk and District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2025.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that the petitioner purchased the property situated at Narthampoondi Village, Tiruvannamalai Taluk and District in Survey Nos.160/1C, 161/3B, 161/4, 161/5B, 160/3B measuring a total extent of 4 acres and 16 cents through a registered sale deed dated 24.07.2023 from Palani and Kasi. It is further submitted that the name in patta was changed in favour of the petitioner in Patta No.1351. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation to the 2nd respondent to survey the property and paid appropriate fees as early as on 10.03.2025, however, the same has not been carried out till date. Aggrieved, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of this writ petition.

4. At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents that the representation seeking survey of property would be considered and orders would be passed in accordance with law within the time period to be fixed by this Court.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with the direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 10.03.2025, carry out a survey and complete the process within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after giving prior notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and other interested parties including rival claimants, if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law.
