ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the second respondent to provide the necessary police protection for fencing the petitioner's property comprised in survey Nos.79/1A and 79/1D2, measuring to an extend of 0.70 cents and 0.30 cents situated at Thethigiripatti Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District based on the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2026. 2.The petitioner owns a property comprised in Survey Nos.79/1A and 79/1D2/ measuring to an extent of 0.70 cents and 0.30 cents through a registered sale deed dated 28.02.2025 vide document No.1022 of 2025, on the file of the Mecheri Sub Registrar, Mettur Taluk and Salem District. When that being so, the adjacent land owners are causing obstruction and disturbance there is also apprehension of encroachment by land grabbers.
Hence, the petitioner approached this Court and obtained police protection to survey his property. Now, for fencing of the said property, the revenue officials informed that earlier order of police protection will not be extended for fencing activities. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court seeking for an adequate police protection to fence his surveyed property.
3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side). Perused the materials on record.
4.In view of the above, the 2nd respondent is hereby directed to conduct enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, upon issuing notice to the counter parties namely adjacent land owners, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
